Rammed Earth Workshop

EPFL ALICE, Studio Wegman, Fall 2022

Following the “Floating Carpet” Project, we had the opportunity to construct a fragment of our design at scale 1:1 using rammed earth and wood. The project included a wooden and rammed earth multipurpose stair, which served as the access point to a system of floating elements. This hands-on experience included designing and building formwork, constructing the rammed earth pieces, cutting the timber elements, and assembling out fragment.
