Floating Lamp

EPFL ALICE, Studio Wegman, Fall 2022

The aim of this project was to create a plaster object that could allow us to measure movement in its environment. With our site being a portion of a lake, we set out to make a floating object that could be carried by the movement of the water itself. We created a radially symmetric hull that allowed the object to be moved easily in any direction in water, while carrying a small candle to mark it’s position.
